Day 3, Day 2 and Day 1
Hi all
I was too tired last night and then I was up until 4 am flipping out that I would NEVER get to sleep. I didn't really but apparently this jet leg is not all that unusual. My family, however were happily snoring away and bright eyed and ready to go this morning. I got past it somehow, showered and we were off for the day on the hop on hop off double decker bus. We went to the original Madame Tussauds and you can see us with all our friends (and some foes) when we get around to posting photos-sorry Sheila. A quick lunch and coffee for P-no surprise there are Starbucks every few blocks. Off to the Beatles museum and store. Then the Sherlock Holmes museum. Back on the bus and off we went through Notting Hill, Belgravia, many castles, parks, Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben,etc. All incredibly beautiful and so old-all that Gothic architecture. Off the bus again and onto the Thames for a short river cruise. Ray-I thought of you going down the Thames-just you and Natalie-I'm even more impressed! We caught the last bus and they dumped us about 4 miles from our hotel. Love my new sketchers-no problem walking and by 8 pm the sun came out-the first since we arrived. Dinner and now we're pooped!
Day 2
Patrick and Nic woke at 4 am-I refused to get up that early. We met Jeanie at the Hard Rock for lunch-we barely got our food before Patrick had to leave for a meeting. Check this out: 2 sodas, 1 cheeseburger, 1 veggie burger and a chicken sandwich=$80.00. Talk about sticker shock. Jeanie and her boys and I hung out for the rest of the day-walked a ton and saw her hotel.
Day 1
We arrived at 9 am-none of us slept on the plane even though it was so comfortable in business class. They fed us so much. About 3 hours before landing Nic wasn't feeling well....
At any rate we met a bona-fide about to be movie star. Right behind us on the London leg is the newest Tract from the about to be released movie Hairspray-nice NY girl. We spent a few hours chatting. All those that were awake felt bad about Nic. Anyway we landed and crashed at the hotel for a few hours and then met the Bartoszeks for dinner-Jeanie and I kept saying "we're in London" The boys were happy to see each other. Jeanie and Marshall seem quite settled in here.
Cheers!

Don't worry about sleep, you can do that when you get home! :-) So glad to hear that you are there and seeing the sights. I'm STILL so jealous! Hey...I bet Harry Potter's Book 7 is already out there. I think they release it in London earlier than the US. We miss you & we're happy that you are having so much fun!
It sounds like a great trip so far and pretty normal as far as the jet lag. Everything is okay here, I drove past your house, nothing to report. Relax and enjoy and say hi to Jeanie and Marshall.
It's hard to believe you're so far away! How was the Beatle's tour? Did Nic just love it? Is he having guitar withdrawals?
I look forward to all of the fun colloquialisms from London.
Keep having fun and give everyone a big hug from us.
Great pictures. I am having a wonderful time with my morning coffee and Nancy's blog. Delia says hi to Nic. Allicyn is pregnant again with raging morning sickness. it is good to be the grandmother and skip that part.
